If your parent is a post-9/11 veteran who died on active duty, or has a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater, online application window open November 15 - April 15.
Awards may be used for Undergraduate and Graduate studies and recipients may reapply for additional annual awards up to six times.

Open to all Florida resident High School students who have earned the Eagle award, religious emblem and are the child or grandchild of a Legion member (OR have a parent that is eligible to join the American Legion).

Captain James Ahn died in 2015 during a parachute training operation while participating with his Special Forces unit in Washington State. In James’ honor, an annual scholarship of $1,000 is awarded to a Special Forces Veteran working towards the completion of a higher education degree.
